Session 2
17 & 18 February 2014
In the second session, students were introduced to "Mime", which is considered to be one of the earliest mediums of self-expression. The trainers emphasized on the three main disciplines of miming; expression, consistency and exaggeration. Mr Bean, acted by Rowan Atkinson, and Charlie Chaplin were two personalities mentioned as examples of mime artists whom students were able to immediately relate to, eliciting giggles and much excitement. The students were made to go through some drills and practical games, giving them the opportunity to practice and hone their miming skills. Near the end of the session, students were provided with sufficient time to complete their journal-writing task for the day.
