Session 4
3 & 4 March 2014
This is the last session in which the students will be trained and equipped with yet another skill which is essential for Drama and which can also be deemed as critical for their final Presentation in Session 6. Pitch, Pace, Pause and Projection or better known as the 4 "P"s, were the main focus of the session to help the students better understand and be effective in using their voice. Each of the 4 "P"s is important as its mastery will enable a person to manipulate the mood and "atmosphere" of a play. Through simple drills being played as games, the students were able to grasp the techniques that were taught and their eyes glowed in excitement as they discovered that they could create suspense and sway the mood of an audience by taking advantage of the 4 "P"s. Many of them realised that besides using the 4 "P"s in their presentation, they could also apply it to their daily lives; it is also a life skill.
